Who’s Hot At The US Open 2025?

At DNA, we love a Grand Slam that mixes elite tennis with a little eye candy. The U.S. Open is underway in New York, now played across 15 days, and the men’s draw is stacked. World number one Jannik Sinner and number two Carlos Alcaraz headline the seedings, with plenty of talent on their heels. So, who are we watching this fortnight?

Ben Shelton

Shelton arrives as the 6th seed and a two-time major semifinalist, which fits the energy of this tournament’s rowdy sessions. He is also one half of sport’s newest power couple with U.S. footballer Trinity Rodman, a relationship they made public in March. If you see a “hang up the phone” celebration, that is his signature from his 2023 breakthrough. Expect pace on serve, swagger, and a crowd that rides every point.

Carlos Alcaraz

Arguably one of the most gifted players in the world right now, Carlos continues the powerful Spanish legacy of his predecessor, Rafael Nadal. He is on a mission to recover from his recent Wimbledon loss and reclaim the top spot. It is no surprise he’s a global sensation, which is why we at DNA named him one of our Sexiest Men Alive for 2025 in DNA #308.

Jack Draper

Draper has climbed into the top five on the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) rankings after a statement run at Indian Wells, where he beat Holger Rune 6–2, 6–2 to lift his first Masters 1000 trophy. The lefty and Burberry model (see below) has the athleticism to live deep in hard-court draws and the confidence of a man who already took out Alcaraz in the desert.

Holger Rune

Rune’s career high is number four, and he owns three Grand Slam quarterfinals. He sits just outside the top ten at the moment, which only makes him more dangerous to higher seeds. His baseline weight of shot and return skills travel well in New York.

Flavio Cobolli

Cobolli has pushed into the top 30 this season and enjoyed a breakout grass run, complete with the confidence and ink to match. The 23-year-old’s ranking jump and improved results make him a live threat for a second-week cameo.

Borna Coric

Coric peaked at number 12 and won the Cincinnati Masters in 2022. He is hovering around the 100 mark right now, which makes him a dangerous floater in early rounds. Fans know his backhand can bully anyone when it clicks.

Lorenzo Musetti

Musetti’s one-hander is art, and the numbers are solid too. He comes in as a top-ten seed with a career-high number six reached in June, and there is plenty of hard-court belief in his camp. If he controls his forehand depth, he can live late in the week.

So, why these seven?

They tick the boxes that matter here: recent results, hard-court weapons, and the ability to handle the Open’s glorious chaos. We rate the form, we rate the fight, and yes, we appreciate the aesthetics.
