Lil Nas X Pleads Not Guilty After Allegedly Punching An LA Police
Lil Nas X has pleaded not guilty to four felonies tied to an August 21 incident in Studio City, Los Angeles, after he was allegedly seen walking naked on Ventura Boulevard shortly before 6am. Police alleged he charged at responding officers and allegedly injured three of them during the encounter. The Los Angeles County District Attorney filed three counts of battery with injury on a police officer and one count of resisting an executive officer.

He was taken to a hospital on suspicion of an overdose, then booked into jail. His attorney and father dispute any drug involvement. “Keep praying for him,” his dad said during an interview calling him “very remorseful.” The defense described the case as “an absolute aberration.”
On August 25, he appeared in Van Nuys court and entered a not-guilty plea. Bail was set at $75,000 with conditions to attend four Narcotics Anonymous meetings weekly or enroll in outpatient treatment. He posted bail later that day and was released. A pre-trial hearing is scheduled for September 15.
What the charges could mean
Under California law, each felony count of battery on a police officer causing injury and resisting an executive officer can carry up to three years in custody and fines up to $10,000. Actual exposure depends on charging and sentencing decisions.

Authorities said they suspected an overdose at the time of detention. His attorney and father have publicly disputed that characterisation. Until the court process plays out, all alleged conduct remains just that alleged.
