Heartstopper Joe Locke Cast In “WandaVision” Spinoff “Agatha: Coven Of Chaos”
Following the success of Disney+ series WandaVision, Marvel Studios has announced that a spinoff series centring around Kathryn Hahn’s character Agatha is in the works. Heartstopper star Joe Locke will be join Hahn as part of the cast, reports Variety.
WHERE WE LEFT OFF (SPOILERS)
WandaVision was a surprise success for Marvel fans who had yet to branch into any of the studio’s other Disney+ series. The show follows Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) living in a small American town called Westview alongside her presumed-dead partner Vision. It’s later revealed Wanda had used reality magic to warp the town to her whims to live out her fantasy with a version of her lover whom she created.
The titular villain in the series is revealed to be Agnes (Kathryn Hahn) who is actually a powerful witch intent on stealing Wanda’s power. The series was received well both by audiences and critics and set up the MCU for Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness.
With head writer and executive producer Jac Schaefer returning to run Agatha: Coven Of Chaos, many predict the show to be a similar success, reports Variety. The spinoff was teased in October 2021 with Disney confirming production in November. Returning with Hahn is WandaVision alum Emma Caulfield Ford who plays Dottie.
Although not much is known about plot or character, we do know Joe Locke will be part of the cast alongside Maria Dizzia, Aubrey Plaza and Ali Ahn.
