Feeling blue and you don’t know what to do? Try our tips. Compiled by Daniel Lill.
1. Reflect On Your Emotions
Don’t shy away from those less-than-positive feelings. Explore their root causes. A great way to process those feelings productively can be to open up to friends, family or perhaps seek out a professional counsellor.
2. Prioritise Self-care
Sleep. Exercise. Balanced diet. These are integral to how we feel and how we perform on a daily basis. If you’re feeling low, it’s worth assessing these simple needs. Make sure you’re getting a good night’s sleep. If you struggle with this, try a cooler shower before bed to help lower your body temperature. Make sure you are getting moving regularly: check out your local gym, go for the men, stay for the positive mindset! Finally, assess your diet. It’s easy to fall into the junk food trap. Try looking at more organic, unprocessed meal ideas to get you feeling great again.

3. Alcohol
It can be tempting to turn to alcohol to cope with stress. Who doesn’t love a drink with friends? But when you’re feeling low sometimes it can be best to stay clear of a drink for a while. Doing so allows you the time to focus on your emotions and wellbeing, and it can also help you connect with friends better.
4. Set Realistic Goals
It can feel like the world is on top of you. Try breaking some of those mammoth tasks down to smaller chunks. Remember to celebrate your achievements no matter how small and you will soon start to feel that positive sense of accomplishment.
