After a nail-biting battle of the nails, everyone’s top of list queen Loreen has won her 2nd Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool, UK. Performing the song Tattoo, as the meat and cheese in what appears to be a cubed sandwich press, it is the 7th victory for Sweden in the ongoing 67th contest. Loreen last performed the anthemic Euphoria in 2012 and won in Baku, Azerbaijan.

With 583 points, Loreen was the favourite to win from the start. Cha-cha-cha-ing into 2nd place was Finland (526 points), followed by Israel in 3rd (362 points).

Homegrown Aussies Perth-based Voyager came 9th but had what sounded like the biggest cheer in the arena when they performed their song Promise, and Sydney boy Andrew Lambrou (who performed for Cyprus) set hearts a-breaking with a 12th placing–a commendable result for both on the left side of the scoreboard.

And that’s a wrap from Liverpool Arena… congratulations and onward to Stockholm 2024, again.
