What Do We Think Of The New IG Pic Of Tony Armstrong And Karl Stefanovic In Bed Together?
Aussie TV hosts Tony Armstrong and Karl Stefanovic have more than a few things in common: both are well-loved hosts of morning talk shows, both have been featured in DNA, and both are receiving attention for an Instagram post together. Is all that attention positive though?

Armstrong and Stefanovic are out-and-proud allies of the LGBTQIA+ community and reportedly became friends during the Covid lockdowns. Speaking to Stellar magazine, Stefanovic says, “We were both in similar situations where we’re at our homes alone, and so on Friday nights we’d FaceTime and have a few beers and take our shirts off.”
The unexpected bromance reveal comes on the heels of Armstrong winning the Bert Newton Logie Award for Most Popular Presenter for A Dog’s World. The picture was shot by Steven Chee for Stellar magazine. The setup is an homage to John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s Bed-ins for Peace protest. Considering the sit-in (bed-in?) protest was held during their honeymoon, this recreation is a playful nod at Armstrong and Stefanovic’s bromance.
Although Armstrong’s popularity is undeniable, the same can’t be said for Stefanovic. The comments below the Instagram post mostly read positively, but there are some that aren’t too happy with the content. “If Tony is cool with Karl, I guess now I gotta think Karl is a good guy,” says one commenter. “Karl is batting way above his average,” jokes another. One user even went as far to say, “When he’s a 10, but he’s friends with Karl Stefanovic”.
There’s more commentary that’s less specific regarding how “revolting” the picture is, but we can tell you that’s par for the course when two men show affection for one another. One user found issue with the implication of the joke. “Love you Tony but I think we’re past the point of laughing about two men being romantic together,” they say.
