Tom Daley And Team GB Divers Steal The Spotlight With Speedo Dance To Charli XCX
The Paris Olympics may be over, but Tom Daley and Team GB’s divers have left us with a lasting impression. In a cheeky Instagram clip, the lads showed off their best moves to Charli XCX’s Apple in a dance they’ve dubbed the “Brat Summer Olympics”. Clad in just Speedos, they’ve made our jaws drop and our hearts skip a beat.
A Perfect Score
The video, posted after the team’s successful competition at the Paris Games, has already racked up thousands of views. And it’s easy to see why – the lads’ synchro choreography is on point, with Daley only breaking character to glance and smirk at teammate Jack Laugher a couple of times. We can’t blame him, really.
The Paris Games were a resounding success for Team GB’s divers. Daley took home the silver medal in Men’s 10m Synchro with partner Noah Williams, who then went on to win the bronze in Men’s 10m Platform. Meanwhile, Laugher and Anthony Harding claimed the bronze in Men’s 3m Springboard. But let’s be real – this video is the real highlight of the Games.
As Daley said, “I just want to make people smile.” Mission accomplished, Tom. This video will be watched and re-watched for years to come, and we can’t wait to see what the team comes up with next.
Team LGBTQIA+ Makes History
And speaking of highlights, Team LGBTQIA+ has made history at the Paris Olympics. With a total of 42 medals, including 15 gold, 13 silver, and 14 bronze, they’ve finished in 7th place in the overall medal count as reported by Outsports. This is the highest number of medals ever won by Team LGBTQIA+, surpassing their previous record of 33 medals at the Tokyo Olympics.
This year’s Olympics saw a record number of openly LGBTQ+ athletes competing, with 195 athletes publicly declaring their identity. And with Team LGBTQIA+ finishing in 7h place, it’s clear that they’re a force to be reckoned with.
