The Victorian Pride Centre Has Its First Ever Beer Sponsor In Moon Dog Craft Brewery
Beer and brewery companies are traditionally marketed towards masculine audiences; think straight men cracking one open in a sports bar with knotty pine on the walls. Moon Dog Craft Brewery is changing this image and has decided to become the first beer company to sponsor the Victorian Pride Centre!

The Moon Dog Craft Brewery was founded in 2010 in Melbourne by brothers Josh and Jake Uljans with their schoolmate Karl van Buuren. The Moon Dog’s sense of fun and celebration will be translated into their sponsorship of the Victorian Pride Centre (VPC) and will aim to deepen the inclusive environment for the LGBTQIA+ community.
Far be it for Moon Dog Craft Brewery to just come on board as a commercial sponsor, the team will be working closely with VPC on a new, limited-edition sour beer called Rainbow Sour Power that can be purchased from VPC and Moon Dog venues.
Other breweries enjoy aiming their campaigns towards traditional male audiences, but co-founder Josh Uljans believes celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community is a core priority for the Moon Dog brand.
“Inclusivity is one of guiding values at Moon Dog and we’ve always prided ourselves on creating
spaces where everyone can be themselves and belong in the Moon Dog family,” says Josh. “As an organisation we want to celebrate the amazing LGBTQIA+ community, of which many in our
team identify within, so we’re stoked to be by partnering with the Victorian Pride Centre.”
Victorian Pride Centre was founded on these principles of inclusivity and community. Carving out a space for the LGBTQIA+ community to gather, create, learn and celebrate is made easier when companies like Moon Dog contribute so enthusiastically.
