Sydney’s Gay And Lesbian Mardi Gras Party 2025 was nothing short of spectacular, bringing together music, energy, and unforgettable moments. Held on Saturday, March 1, the event spanned six spaces at the Hordern Pavilion and nearby venues, delivering over eight hours of non-stop entertainment.

A Star-Studded Line-Up That Delivered
The night featured a roster of international and local talent. Headliners included Honey Dijon (US) and Romy (UK), who gave an exclusive live performance that electrified the crowd. HAYLA (UK) brought her powerhouse vocals to the Forecourt stage, fresh from her chart-topping collaborations with John Summit. Meanwhile, DJ Paulette (UK), DAWS, and Alex Taylor kept the dance floor alive inside the Hordern Pavilion.

But it was Leland’s Leland + Friends set that stole the show. Known for creating anthems for RuPaul’s Drag Race and collaborating with global stars like Kylie Minogue and Selena Gomez, Leland brought his signature flair to Sydney. Fans were thrilled when Troye Sivan joined him on stage for a surprise performance. Troye sang his hit Rush, igniting the crowd with his relaxed yet captivating presence. Adding to the magic, Trixie Mattel also made an appearance during Leland’s set, creating a moment that will be talked about for years.

With its mix of outdoor dancing, iconic performances, and community connection, the Mardi Gras Party 2025 stands as the ultimate celebration of Australian LGBTQIA+ culture and music.

For many attendees, this year’s party symbolised freedom and joy. The theme of Mardi Gras 2025, Free To Be, resonated deeply throughout the night, reminding everyone of the progress made while acknowledging that there is still work to do for true equality.
