Straight Outta The Closet – “Stranger Things” Noah Schnapp’s First Pride!
On Sunday, June 25, Stranger Things star Noah Schnapp attended his first Pride Month celebrations in New York City, reports Q News.
Schnapp came out earlier this year in January via TikTok posting a nonchalant video lip-synching to the popular sound saying, “You know what it never was? That serious. It was never that serious. Quite frankly, it will never be that serious.”
Everyone remembers their first Pride
Pride Month celebrations are in full swing in the US, and the 53rd annual New York City Pride March was on Sunday, June 25 where Schnapp attended with friends, reports Q News. Together with his group, the 18-year-old actor walked the parade waving a rainbow flag and revelled in the LGBTQIA+ pride.
Schnapp wore a rainbow headband and matching wristbands with a tank top that reads, “Straight Outta The Closet” – a nod to his recent coming out. Fans of Stranger Things know Schnapp as Will Byers, a role he began working on when he was only 11-years-old. As the series evolved and entered into season 3 and 4, fans began suspecting that Will Buyers is queer-coded. By the end of volume 2, season 4 audiences all but confirmed it.
Noah was snapped at New York City Pride dancing in a fountain at Washington Square Park with other festival-goers. Underneath the Instagram album, fans were quick to comment their support saying, “This is his first pride. He looks so happy”, and, “so proud of you noah!!!”
