Spanish Heartthrob Manu Rios Teases Music Comeback After “Elite” Exit
Manu Ríos, the Spanish actor who stole hearts in Elite, is ready for a new chapter. After his exit from the Netflix hit, Ríos isn’t slowing down. He’s set to appear in Breathless, a new medical drama.
But that’s not all. Ríos is eyeing a return to his musical roots. “I will definitely try again,” he told Harper’s Bazaar Spain. This isn’t his first rodeo with music. As a teen, Ríos gained fame on YouTube with his covers. He was even called the “Spanish Justin Bieber”.
Ríos’ journey hasn’t been straightforward. At 15, he started a music project in the US. But acting took centre stage when Netflix came calling. Now, he’s ready to balance both passions.
“I prefer to focus on something rather than take on too much,” Ríos explained. This approach has served him well. Since Élite, he’s appeared in A Strange Way Of Life and Muted. He’s also launched his own fashion brand, Carrer.
Recently, Ríos shared a video of himself covering Remi Wolf’s Soup. It’s a hint of what’s to come. Fans are eager to see how Ríos will blend his acting and music careers.
While we wait for Ríos’ music, we can catch him in Breathless. All eight episodes drop on Netflix on 30 August.
