Robots, Femboys And Mature Guys… Welcome To The Top Adult Searches Of 2023
DNA isn’t the only platform taking the opportunity to revisit the most popular content of 2023. For the tenth year running, Porn Hub (PH) has released its Year In Review Insights, and we’ve found the gayest!
The industry has seen steady growth since it headed online and PH is the world’s most popular adult content site. Their insights reveal what we collectively find sexy, and that’s never a bad thing, right?
How the world has been spending their private time
As the statisticians over at PH say: “Top searches are often influenced by pop culture and other worldwide events. Many of these terms define 2023… in mainstream media as well.”
So without further ado, here are their 2023 insights!
The Golden Age
Among the top search trends in 2023, PH reports that “Mature” was the number one growing category. The search term grew 77% becoming the second most popular among men with the terms “Dilf” and “Muscle DILF” growing 71%. Another thing to note: Boomers are 58% more interested in transgender porn than younger people.
It appears when it comes to sex, we all recognise the value of experience.
Ex Machina Indeed
Other interesting search trends this year were “android”, “android cosplay” and “android role play”. This category grew 1,689% with search terms like “sex robot” and “3D robot” growing 304%.
This suggests that the search terms do, indeed, reflect the broader culture and with the term “NPC” growing a whopping 1,531%. NPC is a gaming term for “non-playable character” and has become ingrained in online vernacular throughout the year via platforms like Twitch, Reddit and TikTok.
Sir, Yes, Sir
Uniform kink is a familiar category and remains steadfastly popular. The umbrella term “uniform” grew by 243% in 2023 with “military uniform”, “cop uniform” and “man in uniform” leading the charge. It would appear many of us love an authority figure!
A Queer Renaissance
Although the overall top search terms remained steady from the year before (ie, Hentai, MILF, Japanese, Lesbian), we were surprised to see a rise in two popular search terms: “femboy” and “trans”. The “femboy” search term wasn’t even listed on PH’s 2022 trend list but has risen quickly to outrank “POV”, “amateur” and “cosplay”. The search for “trans” content has also risen to now outrank “Korean”, “Black”, “mature” and “Indian”.
Now, about these gays…
When it came to the most popular terms for gay visitors, “twink” solos the charts with the highest amount of searches. “Curious straight friends” has seen the highest amount of growth throughout the year with “straight guys” topping (no pun intended) the most viewed category.
PornhubGay Stars
This breakdown from PHGay is quite thorough, showing the most searched performers, too. For gay content, the top performers were Malik Delgaty, Joey Mills, Cade Maddox and Jake Andrich Jakipz. They all perform with studios and have their own exclusive content on platforms like OnlyFans and JustForFans.
