Rituals form the basis of our traditions and histories. They are a symbolic set of actions, gestures or words enacted regularly and often in a set sequence.
They are performed with a sense of intention to foster a certain state of mind. Our personal rituals, or daily rites, bring a sense of order, comfort and sacredness to us.
The ancient worlds abounded with cultural and symbolic rituals highlighting and honouring our connection to each other and the Earth.
Many of us now seek to establish contemporary rituals in our lives to create the space to “Become Our Best Selves” in whatever way, shape or form we desire. We crave to be emotionally plugged in to the greater energies around us.
Living a healthy lifestyle is a choice each of us make daily. It’s the little steps that add up to true health. When we thrive rather than just surviving, we are connected, loving, resilient and ultimately vibrant. We have the freedom to do the things we love with the people we love.
As Tom Ford so succinctly put it…
“The most important things in life are the connections you make with others”
