Pro Baseballer TJ House Marries Beau In New Orleans And Shares The Special Day On Instagram
Former professional baseball pitcher TJ House recently celebrated his marriage to his partner Ryan Neitzel in a charming ceremony held in New Orleans.
The couple exchanged their vows on March 29 and marked their special day with a luxurious outdoor wedding; complete with a jazz band serenading them as they paraded through the city streets arm-in-arm.
Hitting a home run for love
Sharing glimpses of their nuptials on social media, House and Neitzel showcased their matching black and white suits, elegant floral arrangements, and the rustic charm of their NOLA venue at Race And Religious.
House’s Instagram caption, inspired by a line from the movie It Takes Two, captured the depth of their love and reads: “It’s that can’t eat, can’t sleep, reach for the stars, over the fence, World Series kind of love”.
Neitzel’s post included a poignant quote by Daniel Broxmeyer that read: “Marriage is one of the greatest opportunities to enter into a life of limitless possibilities. And, in moments of doubt or despair, you find comfort knowing that you are not alone – that there is someone who will always stand by you, no matter what.”
The wedding marks another milestone in House’s journey as one of the few openly gay former MLB players. In December 2022, he made history by publicly coming out as gay, following in the footsteps of trailblazers Glenn Burke and Billy Bean.
Just days after his announcement, House and Neitzel were invited to The White House to witness the signing of the Respect for Marriage Act by President Joe Biden, a momentous occasion that House described as “beyond his wildest dreams”.
A sincere congratulations to the newlyweds!
