Petition To Stop Anti-Trans Activist Kellie-Jay Keen From Touring Australia Is Live

Kellie-Jay Keen is a British activist who goes by The Posie Parker online. (Not to be confused with the actress Parker Posey.) Keen’s political leanings call for the revocation of many hard-fought transgender rights including access to bathrooms, participation in sports, and legal recognition of gender identity.
Kellie-Jay Keen announced plans to tour Australia to give a series of public talks in which she would interact with audiences espousing her anti-trans beliefs. Out gay politician Stephen Bates is among the most vocal parties who oppose this, reports Out In Perth.
“LET WOMEN SPEAK”
Kellie-Jay Keen is a vocal trans-exclusionary radical feminist believing “real” women need protection from trans women. This opinion is hyper-present on all of her social media accounts where she has speaking segments titled “we must never call men women”.
Keen has taken her rhetoric to the public before calling for rallies titled Let Women Speak where she invites other cisgendered AFAB (assigned female at birth) women to openly discuss why they feel it wrong to consider trans women to be “real” women. In March, 2023, Ms Keen plans to tour Australia with her Let Women Speak rally. Specifically, Keen has scheduled talks in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Melbourne, Hobart and Canberra, reports Star Observer.
In response, openly gay MP Stephen Bates has called for Kelli-Jay Keen’s visa to be revoked. According to Bates, Ms Keen is supported by dangerous groups such as the neo-Nazi Proud Boys who would pose a threat to any protestors at her speeches and would incite hateful actions against trans individuals. Mr Bates has written a letter to the Immigration Minister encouraging him to revoke Ms Keen’s visa and included a petition with 11,075 signers to date that calls for the same.
