Open Wide! Can Your Dentist Really Tell You’ve Been Doing Oral?
It’s been circulating online that dentists are able to determine whether a patient has been giving blowjobs by checking for bruising on the soft palate. That’s probably not the oral check you were hoping for!

Don’t worry, they don’t care
We were prompted to deliver this PSA after we saw QNews discussing LA-based Dr Ellie Farahmand’s conversation with Australian supermodel Shanina Shaik and DJ Georgia Sinclair.
Dr Farahmand explains that frequent, and vigorous, blowjobs will leave definite evidence. “If you like, let’s say, sucking on a lollipop. One or two here or there, not a big deal. But let’s say you like to suck on multiple, multiple, multiple, multiple lollipops all the time – you got a problem,” she says.
This salacious tidbit has been around for years, with dentists popping up on X or TikTok occasionally to tease that they know what you get up to between sessions. But, honestly, these medical professionals are more concerned with your plaque than with whose son you’ve been playing hide the lollipop with.
In a TikTok video posted by Dr Ben Gee, he does mention that the bruising or trauma on the soft palate typically indicates to dentists you’ve been giving blowjobs but unless the patient is very young or there are signs of abuse, dentists are happy to mind their business.
Nonetheless, every time this fact pops up there are a few people who feel exposed. Ironically though, it’s their public posting of their embarrassment or shock that really exposes them. Now your dentist AND the internet know you like oral.
