For the 2021 return of Australia’s Got Talent, the show announced that it would welcome a new panel of judges including acclaimed actor and broadway star, Neil Patrick Harris, reports Mumbrella.

Australia’s Got Talent was initially set to run in late June of this year, but amid the return of covid restrictions, the show has had to postpone for the safety of all parties involved. Due to the lockdown, Harris and his husband and kids have returned home to the US despite having completed the mandatory two-week hotel quarantine, reports News.com.

The Tony Award-winning actor was set to sit alongside radio host Kate Ritchie, musician Alesha Dixon, and actor and entertainer Shane Jacobson who is the only judge to return from the previous season’s judging panel. The show has singer Ricki-Lee as the host for 2021.

According to Mumbrella, Harris has said that he’s a big fan of the franchise. “To say I’m a fan of the AGT franchise is an understatement – I’ve been watching since the very first season.”

“Australia has phenomenal talent across so many disciplines, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to join AGT in 2021 to see firsthand what the country’s awesome contestants have to offer,” says Harris.
