Our introduction to Manuel Skye
Skye is a globally recognisable gay porn star who we featured in DNA magazine, issue #263 where he talked to Matthew Phillp about life, learning, and sex and revealed that he was writing a book on spirituality.
“I thought porn would clash with my spirituality… I now understand it’s about bringing the sacred back into sexuality,” he said. In his interview for DNA, he teased many of the topics in his new book. “I grew up in a house where both my parents were really spiritual, but not in a bad way,” he says.
“They’re amazing parents. They went to great lengths to make sure I didn’t have all these beliefs that would block me from doing things I love. Beliefs that block you off are really common and take work to undo. My parents have always been incredibly supportive of everything I’ve done. They taught me that life is about creating your own destiny.
“Fear and unhelpful ideas that come from the way you were brought up are what block you from living your truth. What I want is to help people to go forward and embrace their life path. I want them to embrace their intuitions and just go with it.”
