The Boys Are Bringing Acrobatics And Abs To Times Square For “Magic Mike Live”
Channing Tatum’s Magic Mike Live is opening in New York City, with performances starting on 8 October 2026 and an official opening night on 22 October. The dance and acrobatic show will run in a custom-built, 425-seat theatre in the round at the former Copacabana on West 47th Street, a block from Times Square. Tickets are on sale now, from US74 to US361.
More than a strip show, apparently
Magic Mike Live has always insisted it’s not just bare chests and baby oil. The 90-minute production folds in comedy, storytelling, live music and acrobatics, built around the world Tatum created when the 2012 film Magic Mike turned his own days as a male stripper into a box-office hit.
The live version has already packed houses in Las Vegas and London. New York gets what the producers are calling their most ambitious venue anywhere in the world.
Channing Tatum knows why you’re really coming
Tatum, who created and co-directs the show, is refreshingly upfront about the draw. “You’re going to get what you come for. You are going to see naked men dancing, that’s just what’s going to happen, and hopefully they’re going to be on top of you at some point,” he told New York Theatre Guide. “But there’s also so much more embedded into the show.”
The marketing leans hard on date night and the girls’ night out. We’ll just gently point out that gay men have been in the Magic Mike audience since day one, and the appeal of a room full of shirtless dancers was never going to stay in its lane.
What you need to know before you go
The show runs 90 minutes, the crowd is strictly 18 and over, and you’ll need photo ID at the door. Performances play Wednesday through Monday, with late shows on Friday and Saturday and weekend matinees.
This is the closest you’ll get without a flight to Vegas, and the New York crowd won’t be playing it cool for long.
