The Star Shared Shocking Health News With Fans

“Stop being sad for me! Shake ur ass for me instead!” Now, that’s not your typical message delivered from a hospital bed, is it? But this is Lil Nas X we’re talking about. The always unpredictable star turned a genuinely concerning health scare involving facial paralysis into that kind of announcement this week. So, what exactly landed him in the hospital, and how’s our fave recovering?

A Surprise Hospital Visit

Around Monday, April 14th, Lil Nas X, whose real name is Montero Hill, posted a series of candid videos on Instagram. Wearing a hospital gown but still rocking a Von Dutch cap, the 26-year-old revealed he had mysteriously “lost control of the right side of my face”.

He demonstrated the paralysis for his millions of followers, attempting a smile that only formed on the left side. Keeping it incredibly real, he said, “This is me doing a full smile right now, by the way.” He added with a mix of confusion and his typical humour, “It’s like what the f—. Bro, I can’t even laugh right, bro. What the f—. Ah! Oh my God.”

Keeping Spirits High Despite The Scare

Despite the obviously worrying situation, Lil Nas X managed to keep his spirits up, even joking about the difference between the sides of his face. “We normal over here,” he joked, gesturing to his left side, “We get crazy over here,” pointing to the paralysed right side.

He quickly reassured everyone, telling fans not to worry too much. In a classic Lil Nas X move, he posted on his Instagram Story, “Guys I am OK!! Stop being sad for me! Shake ur ass for me instead!” He followed up with a selfie, adding, “Imma look funny for a lil bit but that’s it.” Honestly, who else handles a health scare with such openness and a request for booty shaking?

Road To Recovery

Thankfully, the situation seems to be temporary. By Tuesday morning, Lil Nas X shared updates confirming he was already home and seeing improvements. He mentioned his smile was “getting a lil better” and that while his right eye was still being “stubborn”, he could force both eyes shut.

He hasn’t shared an official diagnosis yet, though many fans online speculated about conditions like Bell’s Palsy, which can cause temporary facial paralysis and has affected other celebrities like Justin Bieber. Whatever the cause, it’s good to see him recovering.

He even posted a clip of himself roller skating later, promising, “it’s gonna take a lot more than that to keep a bad b*tch down.”

This health detour comes as Lil Nas X has been teasing his next musical era, reportedly linked to an album titled Dreamboy. While dealing with this, he’s shown that signature resilience and ability to connect with fans through thick and thin.

We’re definitely sending good vibes his way for a speedy and full recovery.or a speedy and full recovery.
