LGBTIQ Fundraiser For Joe Biden To Be Headlined By Cher

Cher is set to headline the LGBTIQ fundraiser for Joe Biden on 31 August and will be joined by former candidate hopeful Pete Buttiegieg, Deadline reports.
Following Biden’s acceptance speech at the Democrat convention, Cher tweeted her support saying she was “a proud Joe Biden supporter.”
Cher will also be joined by Senator Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) and Representative David Cicilline (D-RI). The event will be held virtually with tickets starting at $1,000.
The Biden campaign has lined up other entertainment figures for events over the next several weeks. On Wednesday, Will And Grace’s Debra Messing and Eric McCormack will moderate a conversation on the value of women voters and leaders with Representatives Lucy McBath (D-GA), Abby Finkenauer and Debbie Mucarsel-Powell (D-FL).
On 8 September, Biden’s wife, Jill, will team up with Jennifer Garner for a fundraiser and on 14 September with Cyndi Lauper and Pete Buttigieg, Representative Sharice Davids (D-KS) and Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot will hold another virtual event.
