Justin Trudeau’s Son Xav Has Our Readers Swooning
We posted a few shots of Xav Trudeau on IG this month, and you did not hold back. The DNA comments filled up fast with heart-eyes, flames and a chorus of “who is he?”
The short answer is simple. He is the 18-year-old son of former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and our followers clearly approve.
“Holy, this guy is handsome,” wrote one. Another clocked the family resemblance straight away: “Really has his dad’s good looks. Could go far if he has the right attitude.”
The rest was mostly emoji, the universal language of a gay man who has seen something he likes.
The numbers do not lie
The post did more than collect compliments. It pulled 35,440 views, reached almost 17,900 accounts and landed a 13 per cent engagement rate, well past the 5 per cent that counts as a strong day on Instagram. The real giveaway was the sharing. With 594 shares and 344 saves, plenty of you were quietly sending Xav to the group chat.

Meet Xav
The photos come from a campaign by New York label Raimundo Langlois, who also shot them. Xav, born in October 2007, has been building a life beyond the famous surname. He records R&B under the single name Xav, has three singles out, and has now added modelling to the list.
He has spoken about wanting to be his own man rather than a Trudeau, which, on this evidence, will not be a problem.
So consider this your formal introduction. If the comments are anything to go by, you will be seeing a lot more of him.
