It’s “Vulgar”! Madonna And Sam Smith Tease Collab Right In Time For Pride Month
Both Sam Smith and Madonna are deeply entrenched in queer spaces. Ahead of Pride Month, the pair have coupled up to release a new single called Vulgar, reports Q News.
Smith and Madonna have been teasing this collaboration for weeks with a plan to unveil the single at a live performance. They had to bail on this plan after Smith encountered vocal strain during his Manchester show and had to cut it short, but it just means we’ll have to wait a little longer before we’re graced with Vulgar.
They’re teasing us!
Both singers have posted teasers for the upcoming track on their social media accounts; Smith’s reveals we can expect Vulgar to drop on June 9, 2023. On Madonna’s page, two corsets are shown side by side under large pink lettering saying “S&M”.
Artists are always rebranding themselves and adapting to new sounds and styles. Sam Smith has come a fair way since his inaugural single Stay With Me and has released singles such as Unholy to great fanfare (and controversy). Nobody knows how to rebrand better than the Queen Of Pop herself; Madonna’s edgier sound and modern look have kept her firmly in sight throughout her decades-spanning career.
