“Heartstopper” Kit Connor And Joe Locke Flip Off Homophobes At London Pride – Who’s Excited For Season 2??
With the second season of Heartstopper releasing August 8, eager fans can’t get enough content with the cast. On Saturday, July 1, Kit Connor and other members of the cast made an appearance at Pride in London riding a Heartstopper-themed float.
While in the parade, the cast showed anti-LGBTQIA+ protesters exactly what they thought of them!

As popular as Alice Oseman’s web comic is, everybody was surprised by how successful the Heartstopper series is. Variety reports that within the first week of its release, the series pulled in 929,000 engagements on Twitter beating out Euphoria’s engagement by over 480,000 unique interactions.
The talented young cast consists of Kit Connor, Joe Locke, Yasmin Finney, William Gao, Cormac Hyde-Corrin, Tobie Donovan, Rhea Norwood, Sebastian Croft and Olivia Colman. A handful of that cast has been touring worldwide to be at Pride events in June.
When the cast rode through the parade at Pride in London, they made sure to wave to their adoring fans before driving past a section where anti-LGBTQIA+ crowds were protesting; the cast flipped them the bird and moved on!
When the cast were done marching they took to the stage to wish everyone a happy Pride! As a special treat, Yasmin Finney introduced a brand new teaser for season 2. In the teaser we’re shown the school trip to Paris and flashes of the couples – fans of the comic know that the road ahead gets rockier for the characters and we can’t wait to see what the next season brings!
