Don’t Arraign On Trump’s Parade – Prosecutor Jack Smith Likes His Justice With A Side Of Levity

(X/@7Veritas4 and @RandyRainbow)

In November 2022, the US Department of Justice appointed special counsel Jack Smith to investigate former president Donald Trump on felony charges.

The real Jack Smith has been keeping a low profile since being tasked with Trump’s investigation, but a parody account on Twitter (X?) has been keeping us VERY entertained.

Fake Jack Smith gagged, gooped and giggled as 4 charges were laid on Trump

Mr Smith has built an illustrious career as a prosecutor by tackling cases against high-profile politicians and war criminals. Many say he’s the perfect choice of investigator for Mr Trump, reports The New York Times. A parody account has been keeping close tabs on the investigation and has been providing laughs along the way.

The real Jack Smith has brought four indictments against Mr Trump including one count of conspiracy to defraud the United States, one count of conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding, obstruction of and attempt to obstruct an official proceeding, and conspiracy against rights. Altogether the former president faces 91 felony counts.

The parody account @7Veritas4 retweeted a video made by Randy Rainbow where he fakes an interview with Donald Trump and says: “You know, I got to hand it to you Mr Former Fake One-term Twice-impeached Currently Four-time Criminally-indicted Not My President, girl, when people call me names or, you know, threaten to lock me up for 70 years for plotting to overthrow democracy, I’m in bed for a good week. But you, you keep on throwing parties for yourself.”

Randy Rainbow then proceeds to launch into a version of Barbra Streisand’s Don’t Rain On My Parade with the lyrics changed to Don’t Arraign On His Parade. Accompanying this retweet is a caption from @7Veritas4 that reads, “Playing this in the office today. On a loop.”

It might be wishful thinking to believe that a United States Attorney assigned by the DOJ would troll-post on Twitter, but it’s nice to imagine Mr Smith getting a laugh out of the parody account’s posts.
