Ben Platt And Fiancé Noah Galvin Couldn’t Have Had A Cuter (Second) Proposal
Star of the stage and screen Ben Platt announces he’s engaged (again) to partner Noah Galvin. Although the couple announced their upcoming nuptials last November, Galvin reportedly wanted to perform his own proposal, reports People.
No, you propose first! No, you!
The couple both reprised roles in the critically acclaimed Broadway musical Dear Evan Hansen. First, Ben Platt played the titular role of Evan Hansen until he announced he was stepping away from the show and will be replaced by Noah Galvin. It was this shared residency in the production that led the two to form a close bond which would eventuate in their engagement, reports People.
“We were friends for five years and right before the pandemic, we finally decided to really give it a shot. We kind of skated around it for a long time,” says Platt.
On November 26, 2022, the couple announced their engagement to the world by sharing their intimate proposal where Platt gave Galvin a sapphire ring surrounded by friends and loved ones at dinner. Galvin captioned his Instagram post saying, “I said yeehaw and then cried for like 7 hours,” while Platt says, “He agreed to hang out forever.”
In an interesting twist on the traditional engagement, Noah Galvin decided he would also propose to his finacé and gave him a sapphire ring to match his own. The couple shared their round two proposal via Instagram story on Platt’s account showing the ring.

Our congratulations to the happy couple!
