Pablo Perroni Just Made His Relationship with Axel Santos Very Official
Mexican actor Pablo Perroni has confirmed his relationship with actor Axel Santos, and he did it in the most publicly affectionate way possible.
Who is Pablo Perroni?
Perroni, 51, is a well-known Mexican television and theatre actor, born in Mexico City on 24 December 1974. You would recognise him from telenovelas and series including Sin Rastro de Ti, Vecinos, Yo No Creo en los Hombres and La Candidata. He received a Premios TVyNovelas (Mexican television awards) nomination in 2017 for his performance in Sin Rastro de Ti. He is also a cousin of RBD singer and actress Maite Perroni, which means the man has good genes in more ways than one.
In 2019, Perroni came out as bisexual alongside his then ex-wife, singer Mariana Garza, a former member of the iconic Mexican pop group Timbiriche. The two had been married for 13 years and share a daughter, María.
How it became official
The couple had already appeared together publicly in November 2025, at the red carpet of the Premios Impulse, though neither had confirmed anything at that point.
That changed in late January 2026. After watching Axel perform in the play Playbill, Perroni posted a series of photos on Instagram with a caption that left absolutely no room for ambiguity. “Shouting to the four winds how much I love you and feeling all your support while I fulfil a dream in such a special place,” he wrote.
Santos replied with equal openness: “There are no words for so much, I love you Pablo Perroni.”
Who is Axel Santos?
Santos is a Mexican actor best known for playing Marcos in the telenovela Rosario Tijeras. His television credits also include Juegos Interrumpidos (2024) and Como Dice el Dicho, and he has built a strong stage career with productions including Afterglow and Lo Que Sabemos de lo Que No Sabemos del Amor.
Perroni has spoken openly about his bisexuality since 2019, making him one of the more visible LGBTQIA+ voices in Mexican entertainment. Bi-erasure is still very much an ongoing conversation in the media, and moments like this one, a high-profile bisexual man simply and publicly loving his boyfriend, carry more weight than they might appear to.
