Young Advocate Zander Moricz Calls Out Bridget Ziegler For Being Terrible At Her Job

A scandal broke surrounding Moms For Liberty co-founder Bridget Ziegler when it was revealed she was in a polyamorous relationship with her husband and another woman.

In a now-viral video, LGBTQIA+ student activist Zander Moricz spoke at a public hearing of the Sarasota County School Board saying he doesn’t believe Ziegler deserves to be fired because of her personal life, but she does deserve to be fired for being bad at her job.

He cleared her

If the name Zander Moricz sounds familiar it would be because he was the youngest plaintiff in a class action suit against Governor Ron DeSantis’ Parental Rights In Education law – known better as the Don’t Say Gay law.

Moricz was a student within the Sarasota County School District where he was elected the first openly gay class president and also delivered a viral commencement speech using his curly hair as a euphemism for being gay.

He returned to speak to the school board, with Bridget Ziegler as a sitting member, and deliver his scathing sentiments about her sex scandal.

“You do not deserve to be on the Sarasota County school board, but you don’t deserve to be removed from it for having a threesome. That defeats the lesson we’ve been trying to teach you, which is that a politician’s job is to serve their community, not to police personal lives,” he says.

Moricz clarified: “So, to be extra clear Bridget, you deserve to be fired from your job because you are terrible at your job. Not because you had sex with a woman.”

This isn’t where his comments ended though. Moricz began his speech by listing the multitude reasons he believed disqualified Ziegler from her position.

“On this board, you have spent public funds that could have been used to increase teacher’s pay to change our district lines for political gain, remove books from schools, target trans and queer children, erase Black history and elevate your political career all while sending your children to private school because you don’t believe in the public school system you’ve been leading,” he says.
