Sending Love To LA As Wildfires Ravage Pacific Palisades
The devastating wildfires tearing through Los Angeles have left us deeply saddened. Watching the destruction unfold in Pacific Palisades, where homes, businesses, and cherished memories have been reduced to ash, is heartbreaking.
For us at DNA, this hits especially close to home. LA isn’t just a city; it’s the home of so many of our friends, supporters, and subscribers.
We’ve seen the terrifying images of flames engulfing neighbourhoods and heard the stories of families forced to flee with little more than the clothes on their backs.
These scenes bring back painful memories of Australia’s Black Summer bushfires of 2019-20. The east coast burned for months, with more than 24 million hectares destroyed and billions of animals lost. We know firsthand the terror of watching flames approach and the heartbreak of losing homes.
That’s why this crisis in LA hits close to home for many of us. But it’s also a testament to the strength and resilience of this incredible community.
To everyone in LA, please know that you are in our hearts. We’re thinking of you as you navigate this crisis, hoping that you and your loved ones are safe. We’re sending love and strength your way during this difficult time.
