We Need A Cold Shower After This New Alan Ritchson Ad
Grooming brand Dr Squatch dropped a new Manlandia ad starring Reacher lead Alan Ritchson, and it took about 30 seconds for timelines to melt.
The clip opens with Ritchson descending a staircase, shirtless and unbothered, before he tees up a cheeky question: “Do you wish your man was made in Manlandia?” The line sets the tone for a flirty, tongue-in-cheek pitch that leans on humour, brawn and a baritone that could shake the glass.
What the ad shows.
The spot is built around a simple fantasy: a capable, considerate guy who splits wood, listens closely and smells good. Ritchson riffs through those beats while showing off the brand’s “wood barrel bourbon” scent, then signs off by urging viewers to treat themselves or their partners to Dr Squatch products.

The copy is playful, the visuals are straight to the point, and the thirst factor is not subtle. The “wood barrel bourbon” line and the “for the ladies” framing both appear in broadcast listings and social posts tied to the campaign.
Ritchson’s screen persona lands because it mixes strength with a wink. He plays the hyper-competent type on Reacher, and here he flips that into ad-friendly charm without taking himself too seriously.
The campaign is squarely aimed at straight women but coverage from queer and pop-culture outlets confirms the crossover appeal to the LGBTQIA+ world.
If you missed the first wave, the Manlandia clips are easy to find across official channels, including YouTube Shorts and the brand’s socials, where multiple cuts of the campaign have been posted this month.
