Ty Roderick Hospitalised After A Brutal Stabbing, Family Appeals For Help
Gay adult performer Ty Roderick is in hospital recovering from what his family has called a “brutal, life-threatening attack” in which he was stabbed multiple times, including twice in the face, and suffered a collapsed lung. The 38-year-old remains in serious condition while his family raises funds to help cover mounting medical bills.
What we know about the attack
Roderick shared confronting images of his bloodied face and bandaged wounds online. In one post he wrote that he had been stabbed “twice in the face” and that he has “a tube in my lung keeping it inflated.” He is expected to require surgery.
The performer has so far declined to share any public information about his attacker or the circumstances of the assault. Authorities have not released details about a suspect or a motive.
His family speaks out
A GoFundMe page titled Support Ty’s Healing After a Brutal Attack has been set up by the performer’s loved ones to help meet his medical costs. A woman identifying herself as Roderick’s mother wrote that her son “was the victim of a sudden, violent attack” and was “stabbed from behind multiple times” before suffering the collapsed lung.
“By the grace of God, he is still alive,” she wrote, “but his injuries are severe, and the road ahead will be long, painful, and uncertain.” The campaign describes the assault as one of “the most heartbreaking and terrifying moments” the family has lived through.
A decade in gay adult film
Roderick, born 16 October 1987 in Maine, has been a familiar face in gay adult entertainment since 2010. Across more than 210 on-screen credits, he has worked with most of the biggest names in the space, including Raging Stallion, Falcon Studios, Hot House Entertainment, Men.com, CockyBoys and Disruptive Films. He won a GayVN Award for Best Supporting Actor in 2025.
In recent years he has also moved behind the camera as a producer and independent creator, running his own site and working across multiple platforms.
