Trevor Ashley Returns In “Moulin Scrooge!” Just In Time For A Very Silly Season
A Christmas tradition for LGBTQIA+ Sydneysiders is Trevor Ashley’s wildly rambunctious and only slightly offensive silly-season panto. There’s been Fat Swan featuring Trevor as a portly ballet dancer with body dysmorphia; Bodybag in which Trevor played a Whitney-esque (emphasis on the esque) star in need of a bodyguard; Little Orphan Trashly; and last year’s The Lyin’ Queen, a weird hybrid of Jurassic Park, The Lion King and King Kong! Needless to say, there was a giant ape and, well, a sex scene!
This year, Trevor’s back with Moulin Scrooge!
WELCOME TO THE MOULIN BEIGE
Trevor plays Satôn, the star of the Moulin Beige nightclub, hosting the Christmas party of the year with the club’s owner Astrid Zeneca. We also meet we meet Satôn’s bogan lover, You-in McGregor and the ferocious bouncer, Moulin Brando. With the club facing a myriad of dramas and financial ruin, Satôn is visited by clients past, present and emerging in a Dickensian twist.
Naturally, this is an adults-only show promising all the naughtiness and depravity we’ve come to expect from Trevor and his writing partner, Phil Scott.
“I cannot wait for Moulin Scrooge this year. It’s going to be hilarious, with filthy parodies, fabulous costumes, and some lovely eye candy,” says Trevor Ashley. “Honestly, you should see my co-stars!
