The Man Who Was Borat and Bruno Is Now A Ripped Marvel Villain

Sacha Baron Cohen, 53, popped up on Instagram this week looking nothing like the lanky prankster we know from his previous comic characters, Ali G, Borat and Bruno. The cover of Men’s Health UK shows him shirt-free, shoulders wide, abs carved, and clearly loving the new look as he prepares for his latest film role as a Marvel villain. The comedian calls it “hard-launching my mid-life crisis,” yet the results speak louder than the punchline.

How did he get ripped so fast.

According to Men’s Health, his secret mix includes 100 daily push-ups, 25-minute “all-out” lift sessions, a chef-planned, high-protein menu, and yes, a little Ozempic for appetite control. He even rang mate Matthew McConaughey, who linked him to trainer Alfonso “The Angry Trainer” Moretti. Moretti’s first verdict over Zoom: “He looked like a ruler.” Twelve weeks later the ruler had biceps, and the Ironheart costume team let out his sleeves twice.

Cohen keeps the humour flowing, telling followers, “Some celebs use Ozempic, some use private chefs, others use personal trainers. I did all three.” Moretti, proud but still gruff, says Cohen “followed the plan to a T”. The trainer now shares the Men’s Health cover with his famous client, proof that 25 minutes of focused pain can trump two decades of dad-bod memes.

Why Marvel wants his devilish new build.

Marvel boss Kevin Feige confirmed that Cohen’s Mephisto will play a key part in future storylines. In the comics, the demon tempts heroes with Faust-style bargains; on screen, his shredded frame should make those offers hard to refuse. Cohen debuts in Ironheart later this year, and fans already predict the devil will steal every scene and maybe the next Avengers film.

Cohen’s transformation shows it is never too late to rewrite the body script. He swapped beer for protein shakes, carved time for push-ups, and kept the jokes rolling. If a man famous for a lime-green mankini can out-bench the Marvel diet, what could we do with one focused season?
