Photographer Submission Guidelines
Thank you for your interest in contributing to DNA Magazine! Here’s everything you need to know about preparing your submission.

Important: Photographers own the copyright to their photos and MUST include their express approval to have their work featured on the DNA website, DNA Social Media platforms, DNA Digital Edition (and, optionally, DNA Print Edition). Submissions without photographer approval will not be accepted.

1. Image Requirements
Please ensure that your images meet the following standards:

• High Resolution: Minimum 300 DPI, suitable for print and digital use.
• Image Format: JPEG, PNG, or TIFF files are preferred.
• File Size: Each file should not exceed 10 MB. For larger files, please reach out to us for alternative upload options.

2. Content Guidelines
We’re looking for images that reflect the style and values of DNA Magazine. Please consider the following when selecting your images:

• LGBTQIA+ Focus: DNA Magazine celebrates LGBTQIA+ culture, so images should align with this focus.
• Authenticity: We value originality and diverse representation in all submissions.
• Diversity: DNA Magazine encourages submissions featuring models from any ethnic background.
• Model Consent: Ensure that all models are 18 years or older and have provided full consent to be featured in DNA Magazine’s print and digital platforms.

3. Community Support Policy
DNA Magazine is committed to promoting inclusivity and supporting the LGBTQIA+ community. Photographers and models must be allies of the LGBTQIA+ community. It is the photographer’s responsibility to verify that the models they submit align with these values by checking their social media and other public platforms.

Photographers must not submit, and we will not accept, any images of models or photographers who support anti-LGBTQIA+ hate or rhetoric. Submissions that do not meet this requirement will be rejected, and photographers who submit such content may be permanently banned from further collaboration or publication with DNA.

4. Photo Submission Tips

• Please upload a minimum of six professional photos with no logos or watermarks.
• Each image’s file size should be limited to 250 KB maximum for optimal upload and review.
• DNA Magazine prioritises male physique photography, preferably featuring models in swimwear or underwear. DNA readers typically prefer models with:
  • Bulge
  • Bubble butt
  • Strong chest
  • Big arms
  • Armpits
  • Eye contact
  • Chest hair
  • Even tan
  • Sex appeal
  • Smile

5. Video Submissions
Did you capture behind-the-scenes video of your shoot? Send it in, even if it was filmed on your iPhone. Our team will edit it into a polished clip ready for social media, showcasing highlights from your session.

6. Full-Frontal and Explicit Content

• Full-Frontal Nudity: DNA Magazine can publish full-frontal nudity in our Subscriber Zone, which is locked down and accessible only to DNA members.
• Explicit Content: We will publish explicit content to our NSFW, 18+ alt X page @DNAmagazine^{X [NSFW 18+]}

7. Required Information
Please provide the following information along with your submission:

• Photographer’s Full Name or Company Name
• Model(s)’ Full Name(s): Please indicate all model names as they should appear.
• Social Media Handles: Optional, for tagging and promotion.
• Link to Portfolio or Website: Optional but highly recommended.
• Additional Notes: Any specific details or credits you’d like to be included.

8. Copyright and Permissions
By submitting, you confirm that you:

• Own the copyright to the images or have permission to share them on behalf of a company.
• Have the right to grant DNA permission to publish these images across all platforms.
• Have secured all necessary model releases.

9. Model Identification and Release
Please ensure that any models featured in your submission have signed a model release form, granting DNA permission to publish their likeness in print, digital, and social media formats. This is essential for DNA’s publication standards and model rights protection.

10. Brand Recognition
Only brands with formal partnership arrangements with DNA will be credited in submissions.

11. Dedicated Brand Posts
If you have a brand or client you’d like to promote, DNA offers Custom Content posts designed to showcase brands to our audience. Please refer to our Custom Content page for more details.

12. Optional Print Release
If you’re open to having your work featured in DNA’s Print Edition, please check the optional Print Release box during submission. High-resolution files may be requested if your images are chosen for print.

13. General Terms and Conditions
By submitting, you acknowledge that:

• DNA reserves the right to publish, modify, or decline any images at its discretion.
• DNA may display your submission in the Subscriber Zone, Digital Editions, and promotional material on DNA’s official website and social media.
• There is no monetary exchange for submissions.

14. Submission Process
Once you’ve reviewed these guidelines, please proceed to our Photographer Submission Page, where you can upload your files and complete the submission process. Please note that there is no charge to submit.

15. What to Expect After Submission
After submitting your work, you can track the progress of your submission in your DNA dashboard under “Submission Orders.” Status updates include:

• Pending – Submission is under review.
• Approved – Submission has been approved for publication.
• Published – Submission is live on our platforms.

You’ll also receive complimentary access to the DNA Membership area, which includes DNA’s Subscriber Zone and Digital Editions available via Pocketmags.

When you submit photos, your name and email address will be added to our photographer contributors list.

Q: Can I submit images featuring models under 18 years of age?
A: No. All models featured in your images must be at least 18 years of age, and you must have their full consent to be published.

Q: Will I receive credit for my work?
A: Yes, DNA Magazine will credit you as the photographer and any named models as provided in your submission form. Please complete all required fields for proper attribution.

Q: Can I request that my images be removed after they’re published?
A: Yes, you may request that your images be removed from DNA’s platforms, and DNA will make reasonable efforts to accommodate the request.

Q: Is a model release form required?
A: Yes, a signed model release is required for each model featured, authorising DNA to publish their image on all platforms.

Q: If my work is chosen for the Print Edition, will I need to provide higher-resolution images?
A: Possibly. If your work is selected for the Print Edition, DNA may contact you for higher-resolution files suitable for print.
