Squirt Brings Back Video Chat So You Can Check The Chemistry – And Realness!
Squirt has switched its video chat back on, and given the hookup grid a refresh while it was at it. The cruising platform for gay, bi, and curious men has rebuilt its one-on-one Video Chat and added a quicker way to find guys who have just joined, with a location map promised for later in the year.
Video chat, built for face to face
Video Chat now runs across the website and the app, so you can start a conversation on your laptop and carry it over to your phone without dropping the thread. You can switch between front and rear cameras, and incoming call notifications follow you around the site, so a call does not slip past while you are browsing.
The point is simple. See who you are talking to before you decide to meet. Andrew Nolan of Squirt says, “Squirt has always been about connection without the games,” he said. “Bringing back Video Chat gives members a more immediate way to flirt, tease, verify chemistry, and decide what happens next. Whether they’re browsing on the website or using the app, we want the experience to feel direct, easy, and hot.”
A fresher grid for new faces
Squirt has also added a New Guys grid, which surfaces anyone who has joined in the last 30 days. The updated Guys Grid flags members who are looking to meet now or have been online recently, so you spend less time scrolling and more time talking to guys who are actually around. For anyone tired of seeing the same faces, that is the useful part.
A map is on the way
Later in the year, Squirt plans to bring an integrated map to both the app, under Dating, and the website, under Cruising Listings. It will let members check in to locations and see nearby activity, pushing Squirt’s location-based cruising deeper into the app.
The upgraded Video Chat and New Guys grid are live now on Squirt.org and the Squirt app, listed as SQ Dating at SquirtApp.com. Update the app and you are set for whatever lands next. At DNA, we will take direct over endless swiping any day.
