Ryan Murphy’s New Show Features Evan Peters As The Notorious Gay Serial Killer, Jeffrey Dahmer
In Ryan Murphy’s new series Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, Evan Peters plays the infamous killer and audiences get their first look at his eerie transformation in Netflix’s teaser trailer, reports Entertainment Weekly.

Ryan Murphy has built a notable career dramatising the murders that gripped the world in his anthology series American Crime Story. He began with The People V OJ Simpson and the murder of Nicole Brown. Next was The Assassination Of Gianni Versace following the spree killer Andrew Cunanan. Then came Impeachment, which chronicled the scandal that occurred between Monica Lewinsky and President Bill Clinton.
Murphy’s mind is a web of narratives and perspectives that he artfully weaves into television gold. His next project will tackle the horrific crimes of Jeffrey Dahmer. Dahmer was a notorious serial killer who mainly targeted young BIPOC boys during his active years. He became infamous for cannibalism and necrophilia once he was discovered and apprehended by authorities.
In Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, one of Murphy’s favourite actors Evan Peters is set to play Dahmer and his transformation can be witnessed in part in Netflix’s teaser. Dahmer’s likeness is recognisable in the actor’s combover, oversized wire glasses and polo shirt.
The crimes of Jeffrey Dahmer were horrific indeed and it’s interesting to see how he has gone down in the collective mindset as deeply monstrous. Murphy loves a villain and loves to humanise those we detest. We shall see how he fleshes that out in this new series and whether he decides to contextualise Dahmer’s psychology or perpetuate his infamous monstrosity.
