Right-Wing Influencer Christian Walker Speaks Out Against Politician Father
For those familiar with the name Christian Walker, the image of a very opinionated, young Republican comes to mind. Walker began gaining attention on TikTok for posting highly controversial hottakes that leant to the far-right. In a recent video, Christian Walker speaks out against his father Herschel Walker who is running for a US Senate seat with the GOP, reports Marca.
SORT OF A TWIST BUT NOT REALLY
Christian Walker has built his platform by pulling down left-wing voices and for his avid support of Donald Trump during the US election. Among his viewpoints, Walker believes that Black Lives Matter is a terrorist group, covid is a deep-state hoax and, although he’s attracted to “masculine” men, he does not associate with the LGBTQIA+ community, reports The New York Times.
Now that we have a strong grasp on who this pleasant figure is, Walker surprised many when he crossed the Republican’s one rule: stay together and tow the party line. Christian’s father is Herschel Walker, a former NFL player, who recently landed in a scandal regarding his platform’s “family values” alleged hypocrisy.
According to The Daily Beast, Herschel Walker allegedly paid for a woman he was dating to get an abortion despite his stand against abortions. The allegations were reportedly made with receipts, a get-well card and a signed cheque from Walker.
In a surprising move, Christian turned against his father during a social media rant and says, “He has four kids to four different women and wasn’t in the house raising one of them.” According to Walker, the Republicans that he has espoused so much praise for are turning against him. “For the right to say I’m being suspicious for saying, ‘Hey, done with the lies’ when you have all been calling me saying, ‘Is this true about your dad?’ or, ‘Gosh, we’re not gonna win Georgia’ when that’s been you. You have no idea what I’ve been through,” he says on Twitter.
Despite Christian Walker’s claims that the GOP are a righteous group, it appears that he has been dissatisfied with the way he’s been treated now that a scandal directly affects his life and family. It’s unlikely that this right-wing enthusiast will change his tune regarding politics or values, but it will be interesting to see how the GOP reacts to Walker biting the hand that feeds him.
