Queer Bollywood Bash Sizzles At Sydney’s Factory Theatre

(Robert Knapman Photography)

Sydney’s queer community turned up the heat on 31 August at Bar Bombay, Australia’s biggest Bollywood dance party. The Factory Theatre was the place to be as revelers celebrated the event’s 10th anniversary.

The night was a feast for the senses. Kathak, a classical Indian dance, shared the stage with a sizzling pole dance performance set to the sensual track Ang Laga De Re. The mix of old and new had the crowd on their feet.

World-class DJs kept the beats pumping as partygoers shimmied in their most dazzling outfits. The dance floor was a sea of colour, with saris and sequins galore.

As the night wore on, the energy only grew. Drag queens and kings took to the stage, wowing the crowd with their moves and looks.
