Queen Elizabeth II Dies Aged 96
The United Kingdom’s longest-reigning monarch died on September 08, 2022. Buckingham Palace has announced that Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II died peacefully at Balmoral Castle in Scotland at the age of 96.

Queen Elizabeth II was reportedly surrounded by her loved ones and is succeeded by King Charles III. Her Majesty The Queen was the UK’s longest reigning sovereign and the world’s second-longest-running monarch. In official statements released by The Royal Family, it’s been reported by BBC News that King Charles III and The Queen Consort, Camilla, will be remaining at Balmoral overnight before returning to London.
In his statement, King Charles III says, “The death of my beloved mother, her Majesty the Queen, is a moment of the greatest sadness for me and all members of my family.
“We mourn profoundly the passing of a cherished Sovereign and a much-loved mother. I know her loss will be deeply felt throughout the country, the Realms and the Commonwealth, and by countless people around the world. During this period of mourning and change, my family and I will be comforted and sustained by our knowledge of the respect and deep affection in which the queen was so widely held.”
