Tim Brewster has just hit a career-high. The professional beach volleyball player scored his first world tour medal at the Pompano Beach tournament in Florida. He shared his joy on social media: “Awesome way to close out the season with my first world tour medal. Pretty special that it came in the US in front of family and friends!”
Brewster’s path to success started at UCLA, where he showed his talent early on. He went on to represent Team USA at the 2018 Youth Olympics in Buenos Aires. Now, he balances his pro career with law studies at Loyola in Los Angeles.
The champion’s personal life adds another layer to his success story. Brewster previously paired up with Kyle Friend both on and off the court. “We played together for six months before the off-the-court relationship started,” Brewster said. While Friend has now retired from playing, their relationship continues strong.

Speaking about his former playing partnership with Friend, Brewster shared their approach: “We had those boundaries. I think we know how to keep the two separate to a point, although obviously it’s impossible to keep them completely separate.”
