Pete Buttigieg Shuts Down Tucker Carlson’s Weirdly Specific S*x Quiz
Pete Buttigieg has finally responded to Tucker Carlson’s strange offer to quiz him on “specific questions about gay sex,” and his answer was exactly what you would expect. The former US Transportation Secretary shut down the idea during a recent conversation with journalist Kara Swisher at the University of Michigan.
When asked about the bizarre invitation, Buttigieg was blunt. “First of all, I do not think I want to discuss anything with Tucker Carlson,” he said. “But I cannot think of anything I would want to discuss less with Tucker Carlson than that.”
He briefly considered the strangeness of the situation before stopping himself. “I will admit some level of morbid curiosity in what the hell he thinks,” Buttigieg began, before shaking his head and saying, “I actually don’t.”

This latest attack seems to be part of a new conspiracy theory. Buttigieg noted, “I guess it’s a sign of progress that their idea of a conspiracy is that I’m actually secretly straight. We are through the looking glass now.”
What did he actually say?
The comments from Buttigieg came after an episode of The Tucker Carlson Show where the commentator called him a “fake gay guy.” Carlson claimed one of his producers did not believe Buttigieg was genuinely gay because he supposedly dated a woman years ago.

This odd theory ignores that Pete Buttigieg began dating his husband, Chasten Buttigieg, in 2015. The couple married in 2018 and are now raising two children together.
Still, Carlson continued his rant, saying he has always wanted to interview Buttigieg. “I’m gonna ask him like some very specific questions about gay sex and see if he can even answer. I doubt he even knows,” Carlson stated on his show, which is hosted on X, the social media platform owned by Elon Musk.
A history of strange obsessions…
This isn’t a new line of attack from Carlson. In July 2024, he called Buttigieg “supposedly gay” and repeated the claim that his producers believe it is “totally a pose”.
Previously, Carlson has also mocked Buttigieg for “breastfeeding” his adopted children, a comment that revealed a basic misunderstanding of how bottle-feeding works.

Carlson’s record on LGBTQIA+ issues goes back decades. His 1991 college yearbook listed him as a member of the “Dan White Society,” named after the man who assassinated politician and activist Harvey Milk. He also wrote an article for his college newspaper in 1990 claiming that homosexuality was “unnatural and unhealthy”.
