Pedro Pascal, the internet’s favorite daddy, is not just an actor—he’s a jack of all trades. With a jam-packed schedule, he’s now adding “recording artist” to his impressive resume.

Last week, Omar Apollo, Pascal’s BFF, announced his sophomore album God Said No, featuring a track called Pedro. Gay Twitter fans lost their collective mind, wondering if the song was a love letter to The Last Of Us star.

In a recent interview with GQ’s Raymond Ang, Pascal opened up about his friendship with Apollo. He confirmed that he has sung before, during a press interview for Wonder Woman 1984, where he crooned along to Prince’s Purple Rain.

While he didn’t spill any details about the track, Pascal gushed about his friendship with Apollo. “Omar is a very good friend of mine,” he shared. “I love his music. He’s also like me, someone who grew up bilingual.”

Pascal also revealed that he once auditioned for HBO’s LGBTQIA+ dramedy series Looking, but didn’t get the part. “Yeah, they didn’t cast me. I tested for it,” he confirmed. “That would’ve been early 2013, and Narcos didn’t happen until spring of 2014.”

Despite not landing the role, Pascal’s career has skyrocketed. He’s got a slew of exciting projects in the pipeline, including Marvel’s rebooted Fantastic Four, Gladiator II, and more The Last Of Us.

As a Chilean-born actor, Pascal speaks to his Latino roots and bilingual experience. “There is cultural significance as far as my Latino roots are concerned and my [own] understanding [of] being a Chilean growing up in the States and growing up bilingual,” he said.
