Ahead of the release of her 16th studio album Tension, Kylie Minogue has announced she will headline The Venetian Hotel’s new cabaret-style club called Voltaire in Las Vegas. Minogue announced her residency begins on November 4, 2023.

The City of Sin is getting a new angel

At a media launch on Thursday, July 27, Minogue said she had been working towards the residency for years. “Today is the day where it all becomes beautifully real,” she announced. “To finally be able to say, yes, I am doing a show in Vegas and to be at Voltaire at the Venetian Resort, it’s just such a good match. And, yeah, I couldn’t be more excited.”

Tickets go on sale August 3. The theatre at Voltaire holds about 1,000 people. “It’s gonna be a hot ticket. Listen, I love performing in all sorts of venues. It can be huge, tiny, and this is somewhere in the middle,” Minogue explained. “But I think it’s got scale enough that you’re gonna feel like you are sharing this moment with enough people, but also there’s that exclusivity.”

Minogue’s upcoming album Tension already has major buzz with lead single Padam Padam hitting the top ten on Billboard’s Dance/Electric chart. She tells Variety that the new album includes a track called Vegas High which confirms her new Vegas era. “We were talking about going to Vegas, the possibilities. It’s a shimmering thing in the distance. If you’re flying in, or if you’re driving, the roads get drier, and the mood changes, and as the saying says, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. It’s just its own little kind of Wonderland.”
