Surely Feeling F*ing “Fabulous” Singer, Meek, Is Destined To Be A Gay Fave!
Georgia Meek goes by one name, and after one listen to her debut single, you’ll understand why she doesn’t need more. Fabulous, released on 30 January 2026 via BMG, is the kind of track you catch yourself singing in the shower two days later without realising you’ve learned the words.

Who is Meek?
Meek is a self-made British singer-songwriter whose music draws from working-class experience, personal trauma, and years spent in queer nightlife. She co-wrote Fabulous with producer David Pramik, whose credits include Selena Gomez, Bebe Rexha, and Rag’n’Bone Man, alongside vocalist and co-writer Caroline Baker.
The hook lands somewhere between confession and war cry. Lines like “I just got my heart broken but I look fucking fabulous” and “Yeah I’m back in therapy but I look fucking fabulous” treat self-belief not as a given, but as something you keep choosing, even on the hard days.

The bar story that proved everything
Before Fabulous had an official release, Meek previewed it at Ku Bar, a long-standing LGBTQIA+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual, and more) venue in Soho, London. The reaction was immediate.
“It was the funniest thing ever,” Meek said. “I jumped up on the bar and started lip-syncing along… I did half of the first intro and then everyone – literally everyone in the bar – was screaming, ‘I’m so fucking fabulous.'”
That moment said more than any chart position could.
A video worthy of the song
The Fabulous music video was filmed in Blackpool and directed by Sophie Muller, best known for her work with Sade, Beyoncé, Annie Lennox, and Kylie Minogue. It follows Meek through the seaside town in what can only be described as a gloriously chaotic, glam-trash romp. Muller’s eye for bold, character-driven visuals is exactly the right match for this track.

The numbers don’t lie
Since its release, Fabulous has spent 14 days at number one on the UK and Ireland Spotify Viral 50 chart, and sits at number 59 in the Shazam UK Top 200, with over 80,000 Shazams worldwide. It’s on the A-list at Capital FM, picked up nine plays on BBC Radio 1 (British Broadcasting Corporation) in a single week, and from 20 March, joins the official BBC Introducing playlist on Radio 1.

The three-track Fabulous EP also includes Brixton, a stripped-back portrait of South London life, and I Want Love, But Not That Much, which does exactly what it says.
Meek is set to headline the main stage at Mighty Hoopla this summer, alongside confirmed appearances at Boardmasters and Brighton Pride.
