This Liverpool Politician Has Gay Men Taking Notice For More Than His Gym Photos

Liverpool Liberal Democrat Carl Cashman gets called “Britain’s sexiest politician” for good reason. Those gym selfies on social media keep fans coming back. But when drag star Tiara Skye asked him about trans rights, his answer proved he brings more than just good looks.

Cashman’s work centres on social justice. He uses his position to speak up for LGBTQIA+ rights, fight inequality, and bring fresh energy to UK politics.

Who is Carl Cashman?

Carl was born and raised in Liverpool. He works directly with communities to combat social injustice and help achieve equality, politics that helps everyday people. He stands firmly with the LGBTQIA+ community, and his path to leading the Liberal Democrats in Liverpool shows his commitment.

His approach isn’t just about policies and statistics. It’s about people. Carl creates spaces where everyone feels seen and heard. Whether he’s supporting LGBTQIA+ individuals, addressing homelessness, or pushing for better environmental rules, Carl puts the needs of people first.

Viral Interview with Drag Star Tiara Skye

Carl Cashman recently gained more fans through an interview with drag performer Tiara Skye, known for her street interviews on TikTok. In an 11-minute video for KLOSS Community, Tiara asked Carl direct questions with her signature cheeky style.

Known for asking odd questions like “Can you name three vegetarian celebrities?” and “Can you spell diarrhoea?”, she brought this same energy to her chat with Carl. The conversation mixed serious politics with flirty banter.

The interview started with Tiara’s bold question, “Are you foreskin, or against skin?” Carl answered without hesitation: “Definitely foreskin.” As Tiara responded, “We’re gonna talk some politics, we’re gonna talk some views, we might be talking about anal,” it was clear this wasn’t a standard political discussion.

Standing Strong on LGBTQIA+ Issues

The conversation soon turned serious as Tiara asked about trans rights and why people should vote for the Liberal Democrats.

“The Conservatives have ruined the country, and the Liberal Democrats are going to make them pay for it. We’ve already taken 72 MPs from them,” Carl stated. But his comments on trans rights stood out most:

“What we’re seeing in America at the moment is kind of a villainisation of trans people and I worry that that could be the same in this country. I think we’re a lot more tolerant in the UK, but the government’s got a lot to answer for.”

This shows Carl’s support for the LGBTQIA+ community is genuine. When Tiara said, “I hate being tolerated,” Carl’s response was spot on: “You make a good point because you shouldn’t be tolerated. It should just be accepted.”

Real Talk with a Twist of Humour

The interview continued with Tiara asking, “Name three transgender people, please?” Carl named Caitlyn Jenner, to which Tiara quickly replied, “Not on this show!” This moment showed how at ease Carl is with the community, even when faced with unexpected questions.

When the topic turned to Nigel Farage, Tiara didn’t hold back, calling the Reform UK leader a “d**khead.” Carl’s response was perfect: “We don’t need to tolerate that kind of hate.”

Carl Cashman stands out in today’s political scene with his strong values, love for his community, and ability to laugh at himself. He fights for important issues with a rare mix of seriousness and good humour.
