Mayor Bares All! Spicy Calendar Shoot Lands Mayor Gabe Carroll In Trouble
The Hot Air Brewing company in Creston, Iowa has featured the town’s mayor in a near-nude photo for one month of its 2023 calendar, reports Out Traveler.

Despite a percentage of the calendar’s proceeds going towards charity, many citizens of Creston have voiced their disapproval of the risque shoot. One concerned citizen says, “Being the mayor, I would not even publicize that at all,” reports Out Traveler.
The photo in question depicts the attractive young mayor covering his front with a plate of chicken, and it appears he is otherwise nude. Reportedly, Mr Carroll was wearing underwear in the shoot and it is just angling and positioning that makes him appear nude.
Hot Air Brewing owner Katie Davidson says, “He’s got underwear on. I mean, the only thing naked is the chicken. I’m not really sure, but then again people like to get mad.”
There are those who are in support of the mayor’s decision. “He’s trying to support a small-town business and I think Gabe is a down-to-earth guy. Think he’s doing a crack-up job as mayor,” says resident Tom Jackson. In a tweet, it can be seen how engaged Gabe Carroll is with the Creston community as he’s seen attending a school Pride Time to discuss his role as mayor.
The money raised from the calendar sales are going towards Creston’s Christmas Basket Fund, which supplies food to families in need over the holiday season. Responding via a statement, Gabe Carroll says, “I can understand some people not getting the joke and feeling offended… that’s just part of life I suppose. But in the end we’ve raised about $220 for the Christmas Basket Fund, and have about 55 calendars left to sell.”
Since the publicity, the fund has raised over $1,000 and the calendar has nearly sold out.
