Maxi Shield, the larger-than-life queen who was part of the inaugural cast of RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under has joined forces with Aussie photographer and director James Dimitri to create The Winner Takes It All, a film screening during the Queer Screen: Mardi Gras Film Festival, Saturday, February 18 at 6:30pm with tickets selling fast.
Maxi delivers a broad, comic performance alongside some sexy man-candy scenes involving singer and underwear model, Manuel Kornsiuk, and actor and model, Jack Stratton-Smith.
“THE WINNER TAKES IT ALL” IS MAXI-MUM FUN
The plot follows a wealthy heiress named Kiki (Jessica Marchi) who is concerned that her partner Hunter (Manuel Kornisiuk) is cheating, which he is. After Hunter finds Kiki dead, he steals from her safe and plans on running off with one of his two lovers. The problem is that his two lovers Maxine (Maxi Shield), and porn star Randy (Jack Stratton-Smith), have the exact same idea about killing Hunter for the money, reports Queerguru.
Aside from camp hijinks and whacky plot-lines, writer/director James Dimitri has made sure to include a few spicier scenes with Kornsiuk and Stratton-Smith. Whether you’re going to see Maxi Shield, going for the story or going for the man-candy, or both, you’re sure to enjoy!
