Photographer Roger Nguyen’s early 2000s portraits of model Mathew endure the test of time.
“I’m particularly proud of this nude pictorial featuring a model I discovered, Mathew. He had just moved to Los Angeles and this was his first nude photoshoot ever. Despite the his gorgeous face, sculpted muscular body, and sizable endowment, the pictorial was rejected by both Playgirl and Men magazines,” says Roger.
“I kept the images in my personal portfolio and am proud to finally share the stunning, beautiful Mathew exuding masculine sex appeal through every pore on his naked body.
“This hot poolside pictorial was shot in July 2005. The Southern California sun was directly overhead, causing plenty of shadows and squinting in addition to scalding temperatures in the mid-90s. The relaxed expressions and subtle muscle flexion in each image were the result of a gruelling shoot which focused on presenting the model in the best light possible. After 20 years hidden away in digital darkness, these images have managed to retain all the sweltering heat and the model’s timeless sex appeal and masculine beauty,” says Roger.
“I am grateful that DNA is now sharing my work in print and online. Mathew will be one of the featured models in my first book collection due out later this year.”
