Mardi Gras After Party 2020: Queues To See Shows, But Sexy Revellers Partied On!

It was one of the most controversial Mardi Gras Parties in years – for all the wrong reasons. With big-name pop acts Dua Lipa, Sam Smith and Kesha performing, plus the huge RHI pavilion being out of action because of renovations, many partygoers were unable to access the smaller Hordern Pavilion to see the shows. The queue to enter the Hordern snaked around the showgrounds precinct and it took over an hour for some people to get inside. Many never made it inside at all. Large screens in outside spaces allowed partygoers to see what was happening inside. There are reports of many many people leaving the party altogether once they realised the situation.
Still, those who stayed partied on until after sunrise and photographer Cain Cooper (Cain9ine) was there to capture the hot boys and girls and the gorgeous Mardi Gras costumes.
