Former Scissor Sisters frontman Jake Shears is set to make waves in the music industry once again with the release of his highly anticipated second solo album, Last Man Dancing. The record features a special collaboration with pop icon Kylie Minogue on the track titled Voices, reports Q News.

The collab we were waiting for!

Inspired by Shears’ love for extravagant, over-the-top house parties, Last Man Dancing offers a musical journey that reflects the essence of those lively and energetic gatherings. Shears describes the album as having two distinct halves, with the first portion designed to create singalong moments that captivate listeners right from the beginning of a party, reports Q News. As the hours pass, the music delves into deeper and darker tones, mirroring the atmosphere of a late-night affair.

The album’s track Voices showcases the chemistry between Shears and longtime friend Kylie Minogue. The duo’s previous collaborations have garnered acclaim, and their latest endeavour promises to be yet another memorable and captivating offering for fans. Shears says, “I love writing with her and always have. I’m really proud of all the songs I’ve written with her, and I think someday I’m gonna, like, put together a Scissors-Kylie record.”

Shears believes that the final moments of a party when only a few are left dancing holds the potential for the most magical and memorable experiences. “It’s inspired by all the over-the-top house parties I’ve thrown throughout my life. I was born to host, I love to DJ and my favourite hours of a party are from 4-6am,” he says. “There’s nothing more luxurious than being as loud as you want in the early hours. Not everyone might make it to the end, but the last ones dancing are possibly rewarded with the most magical moments of the evening.”
